Project Overview

BurgerBoi, a vibrant and premium fast-food brand with 15 sites across the UK, recognised the need for a menu refresh to drive sales and support its growing brand presence. Faced with the challenge of aligning their menu with their brand identity and capturing new trends, BurgerBoi sought the expertise of Egg Soldiers. Immersion & Review
BurgerBoi's brand was already well-regarded for its innovative approach to menu offerings, particularly its Californian-inspired flavors and Gen-Z-focused marketing. However, the brand needed a fresh perspective to ensure its menu remained ahead of trends and resonated with its target audience. The core challenges included:

  1. Menu Refresh: Aligning the menu with the brand identity while introducing new, enticing food concepts.
  2. Sales Growth: Driving sales uplift through strategic menu innovation.
  3. Long-term Strategy: Creating a roadmap for sustained revenue growth and seasonal promotions.

A Strategic Menu Overhaul
We started with in-depth immersion into BurgerBoi's operations. This involved site visits and data analysis to understand the operations, current menu performance and brand fit.

Our Food Identity and Menu Planning workshop process helped us home in on the future menu vision and dish ideas that are on-trend and align with BurgerBoi's brand ethos, customer expectations and kitchen operations.

Our chefs developed the products and recipes before the final step which was to create comprehensive recipe training material packs and to conduct train-the-trainer sessions with the BurgerBoi team.
Achieving Success: Tangible Outcomes
The results of our work were significant and measurable:

  • 12% Sales Uplift: The refreshed menu drove a substantial increase in sales, demonstrating the effectiveness of the new and on-trend products. The dishes not only contributed to immediate sales but also supported sustained higher revenue like-for-likes.
  • Strategic LTO Calendar: A LTO (Limited Time Offer) calendar was established, allowing BurgerBoi to continuously engage customers with seasonal and exclusive offerings.
